By first installing the included lens attachment base to your housing, flip either one, two or in case of SAL-03-1G, all three of the close-up lens elements over the camera's lens, depending on the subject size and conditions. Also, even with Close-up Lens Assembly attached to camera, you can still choose not to use any of the Close-up Lens elements, flipping them out of the way and just using the camera's normal lens.

Use with camera zoom set to full TELE position. Vignettes if lens at wide position.
Recommend when imaging small subjects to make subject appear larger.
With attached diffuser, possible to take high magnification macro images even without external strobes. Also, diffuser is storable so it is not in the way when removed.

Close-up lens assembly with two 50mm lens elements SAL-02-1G

Use with camera lens at zoom or wide positions. Flexibility to frame and compose image using camera's zoom.
*If slight vignetting noticed at wide setting, bump zoom forward a little.
Because larger diameter lenses may partially block camera's internal flash, a diffuser is included to spread light.
With attached diffuser, possible to take high magnification macro images even without external strobes. Also, diffuser is storable so it is not in the way when removed.

* When using close-up lenses, hand shake becomes more noticeable, so be sure to shoot with stable hand.
